Aston University are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to provide leadership to Schools and Colleges Liaison, a dynamic, highly motivated team committed to raising the aspirations of young people, and increasing the recruitment to Aston University of high ability students from across the UK. You will be responsible for:
- Managing student recruitment, profile raising and outreach activities by providing a high quality service to regional and national feeder schools and colleges.
- In collaboration with the academic schools developing recruitment policy and targets, supported with accurate market intelligence.
- Lead initiatives in the University to meet strategic objectives and external benchmarks for widening participation and recruitment.
- Maximising University income from student recruitment in the light of future changes to Higher Education by recruiting students of the highest quality, motivation and into programmes of high demand.
- Responsible for developing, communicating and advising on admissions policy for undergraduate programmes at Aston University.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a relevant postgraduate qualification, the successful candidate will have a considerable track record of working at a senior level in student recruitment. Demonstrable experience of leading a range of teams, detailed knowledge of student recruitment and outreach, and planning and managing budgets are essential for the role. Confidence in creating and delivering high quality presentations to a wide range of audiences together with the ability to define strategy and drive through its implementation are also essential.
