STEM for Britain Poster Competition

STEM for BRITAIN (formerly SET for BRITAIN) is a poster competition and exhibition which has been held in Parliament since 1997. Its aim is to give members of both Houses of Parliament an insight into the outstanding research work being undertaken in British universities by early-career researchers.

Applications are invited from early-stage and early-career research scientists, engineers, technologists and mathematicians who wish to exhibit posters. Early-career researchers include university research students, postgraduates, research assistants, postdocs, research fellows, newly-appointed lecturers, part-time students and their equivalents in national, public sector and industrial laboratories, etc, and appropriate MSc students, all of whom are engaged in engineering.

You will need to fill in a short online application form and supply an abstract (in .pdf format) of your work – no more than a single A4 page, together with a reference, normally from a supervisor or senior academic colleague. The closing date for entries is Monday 5th December 2016.

Applicants should prepare material aimed at communicating high level science, engineering or mathematics to a lay audience. You can find further information about the competition, including the application form, here:http://www.stemforbritain.org.uk/ .
