The School of Chemistry is currently advertising for a Research Communications and Impact Officer
The officer will manage the School’s relationship with the general public, as one of the key stakeholders of scientific research. The post-holder will work closely with researchers in chemistry to communicate their current research activities externally, making the most of the web and social media, and also identify opportunities to raise the profile of important work in the run up to REF2021. He/She will also develop experiments that can be carried out in schools to demonstrate active research projects, through a project called ChemBam. The project will underpin the School of Chemistry’s REF2021 impact case study in public engagement and create a public resource for education, explicitly highlighting current research activities within the School.
Full Time until 31 July 2017. This is initially a short term post, but will be extended if applications for external funding are successful.
Informal enquiries should be directed to Dr Zoe Schnepp.
