Job – RI Christmas Lectures Assistant

The Royal Institution have is an exciting opportunity with a Christmas Lectures Assistant position.

The Christmas Lectures Assistant will assist with preparations for the creation, development and implementation of the Christmas Lectures and associated activities in 2017. For this year’s topic, the Christmas Lectures Assistant will need a science degree, (or demonstrable equivalent experience) and a good understanding of animal and human communication.

The role will involve working with academic researchers, the TV production company, multi-media content developers, science communication professionals and an ‘assortment of kids, animals and unpredictable props’. This is a unique opportunity to be involved with a historic and influential national event which is watched by millions on the BBC.

Accountable to: Clothworkers’ Science Content Producer
Location: 21 Albemarle Street, London, W1S 4BS
Contract type: Full time (35 hours per week)
Fixed term – approx. 4 months (end Sep to end Jan) with a possibility to extend to mid-May
Salary: c£27k per annum, pro rata
