Wellcome are looking for a Research and Evidence Lead to join their Public Engagement department.
Wellcome have been working on a new Public Engagement strategy, which will be announced soon. At its core is a stronger focus on outcomes, and using engagement to achieve meaningful, measurable improvements in people’s relationship with research and health. To do this effectively, they’re building a new Research and Evidence function, and the first step in that is appointing a Lead for that team. This person will go beyond improving the monitoring and evaluation of grants, or the marshalling and funding of academic research – they’ll help create, test, and deliver new evidence-based ways of thinking about and doing public engagement.
If you’re someone with experience of a variety of public or social research methodologies, a track record in combining and using those methodologies and data to inspire and deliver real change in the way institutions work, and a passion for helping people both create and use actionable evidence, then they may want to hear from you.
