The 13th annual Science in Public conference will provide an innovative, engaging, and creative interdisciplinary space to explore the intersection of science and publics. Taking place from Wednesday 10th – Friday 12th July 2019 at Manchester Metropolitan University, we invite sci-comm researchers and practitioners to join in collaborative discussions, sharing practice and making contacts. In addition to the conference’s traditional research focus, we want to include a stronger practitioner aspect to the event, and are including a Sci-comm Marketplace and Scratch Demo session, showcasing great sci-comm activities, alongside discussions, research presentations, lightning talks and networking opportunities.
Details of the event are at sip2019.com and registration is open now, while the call for session submissions is open until 29th March. Attendance is £239 for the full three days, or £99 for a single day; discounts are available for students and representatives of community groups, and bursaries are also available to support attendance.
For more information, visit the website (sip2019.com) or contact the organisers directly at scienceinpublic19@gmail.com.
Hope to see you there!
