Pint Of Science serving in Brum

Get ready for a full festival of cutting edge research being delivered over three days, 15th to 17th May, 2017!

There are five themes running this year; ‘Atoms to Galaxies‘, ‘Beautiful Minds‘, ‘Our Body‘, ‘Our Society‘ and ‘Tech me Out‘. So far the tickets have been released for the first two themes with Atoms to Galaxies taking place at Millennium Point, Curzon Street, and Beautiful Minds being served up in The Woodman, New Canal Street.

  • Leon Trimble (Audio-visual artist and BOM Fellow)
  • Professor Bill Chaplin (Professor of Astrophysics and leader of the NASA Kepler Mission)
  • Professor Andreas Friese (Professor of Experimental Physics)
  • Dr Anke Büttner (Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Birmingham)
  • Professor Gina Rippon (Professor Emeritus of Cognitive Neuroimaging at Aston University)
  • Dr Geraldine Akerman (Chartered and Registered Forensic Psychologist, Scientist, and EuroPsych)
  • Chief Superintendent Alex Murray (Chief Superintendent with West Midlands police)
  • Dr Ema Sullivan-Bissett (Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Birmingham)
  • Dr Simon Hanslmayr (Reader in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Birmingham)
