Job – Engagement Officer in Warwick

The University of Warwick is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the University’s new Public Engagement Team to help develop and support public engagement relating to our Quantitative Biomedicine Programme (QBP), which is supported by an Institutional Strategic Support Fund (ISSF) award from Wellcome. The QBP aims to drive further development of mechanobiology and infectious disease epidemiology research, and seed new research programmes whilst developing an inspirational public engagement interface for Wellcome funded and QBP-linked researchers at Warwick.

You will be based in Warwick Medical School and support researchers in their engagement with the public, as well as devise and create opportunities to share best practice and celebrate public engagement with research, to a wide range of audiences, both internally and externally.

You will be educated to graduate level in a biomedical science related field and will have experience of working in public engagement or communications, preferably in an educational or HE environment. You will need excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills and a strong track record of forming successful working relationships. You will be capable of working with people at all levels of seniority.
