Arcola Energy, specialising in Hydrogen Fuel Cell based technologies, are coordinating an educational event during the Summer holidays (21st to the 26th of August). The event is called the Hydrogen Hack, and is the first of it’s kind. The hack is taking place in 10 centres around the UK with a final show-&-tell/prize-giving event to be held at Ravensbourne University on the 26th.
They are looking for those with experience in general making, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, programming and fuel cell systems to help teams of young people to create inventions with real-world applications and wow-factor.
The hack centres are as follows –
- Techniquest Glyndwr (North Wales)
- Centre for Life (Newcastle)
- Anglo American (London)
- UTC Bolton
- Tettenhall College (Wolverhampton)
- Monmouth School (South Wales)
- BOC (Guildford)
- Nottingham Uni
- Dundee Science Centre
- Winchester Science Centre
Please get in touch with Arlan for a poster or if a lengthier explanation of the event is required.
Beyond this they are also willing to chat about how Arcola might partner for projects in the future. They are currently in the process of scaling up their educational programme for which they will require a considerable amount of SciComms annually.
