The Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division of the University of Oxford is developing an exciting pilot project to engage parents of primary school children in STEM (science, technology, engineering, maths) subjects by giving them information and tools for bringing maths and sciences into the home, supporting and encouraging their children (particularly girls and those from ethnic communities) to explore these areas, and helping to counter societal stereotypes and myths about who ‘belongs’ in STEM.
They are seeking a consultant to help them create a digital and print resource to share with parents. Take a look at the full external consultant brief, which can be found here.
They welcome proposals totalling up to £6,000, including all fees, expenses, any travel costs, and VAT if applicable. Deadline is 27 May 2016.
